Staying in La Garriga
La Garriga is a charming town located 40 km from Barcelona (hotels are ~10 minutes walk from the wedding venue). The town is known for its modernist architecture, the natural hot springs and various walking routes.

Granollers is a city in central Catalonia, about 30 km from Barcelona (~20 minutes by car from the wedding venue; taxi ~20€). Granollers is great for shopping and restaurants.
We would recommend avoiding staying in Canovelles.
